“Radio show”
On march 30th 2010, Cire, Lazy, and Eli were interviewed live on 89.5fm Chicago/Indiana ,Vocalo. Org . The interview was interesting the director of the show starts off by saying he real doesn’t even like hip hop, as the guys were in aww, he rebuttals, but I like what you did with the concept and I was interested in the lyrical content.

The artists were interviewed for the 2009 album by Blukolar Politiks beat maker DJ Eye M1 for “Makin up 4 Lost Time” an album which was written in dedication to Americas favorite babysitter, the tv. Prior to the interview matt requested lyric sheets to get a better understanding of the lyrics and the meaning behind the songs. He chose “Flatland Blu’s”, sampled from the ‘80’s tv show hill street blues, featuring Beautiful thing. Which is Cire as Van Flo and Lazy as The Brain. Plus “Taxi” which features Cire, Dna and Eli.
As matt started the interview, he asked about, who came up with the concept, why and how. After responding to the multitude of questions and comic side notes. He played the originals as a lead to the songs. Matt started the interview with discussing Taxi, where and when it was from and how the idea for the album came about. Then he proceeded to talk about the lyrical content. At this time Eli had the chance to tell his side of the story and inspirations behind the lyrics. After Eli’s witty responses and some comic banter Cire had the chance to speak upon the chorus and its underlying meaning and explain his closing of the song.
After “Taxi” was played the interview carried on with a discussion about “Flatland Blu’s” Lazy was up to bat and responded with simplicity and peaceful character as a saint amongst thieves. When it was Cire’s turn to explain his lyrics the interviewed turned slightly awkward. Matt had asked about a specific line that was an emotional life sentence, which, Cire clearly did not want to discuss, yet he did for the greater good.
Overall the interview was a great opportunity for the artists to speak upon their loves and hates live on air for some 600,000 listeners to hear. This interview was video and audio recorded and might be released soon. So till the next one keep Politik-ing your local BLUKOLAR“SkIllinois
